The upcoming 2026 election cycle will shape the future of our jobs, union, and communities, making it critical for IBEW members to elect leaders who support working families. Decisions made by elected officials directly impact energy policy, infrastructure investments, workplace safety, and collective bargaining rights. Supporting pro-labor candidates ensures that our jobs, wages, benefits, and safe working conditions remain a top priority.
The most important step? Check your voter registration status using Montana's official voter portal: https://voterportal.mt.gov/WhereToVote.aspx
For the November 3, 2026, General Election, regular voter registration closed at 5:00 p.m. on October 5, and late registration began October 6. If you are eligible to vote and missed regular registration you can still register or update your registration during the late-registration period, but you need to work through your County Election Administrator and obtain your ballot in person to vote in this election. https://sosmt.gov/.../election-administrators-contact-list/
An engaged membership gives us the power to elect leaders who understand the value of skilled union labor. Before you cast your ballot, click here to review the official list of Montana AFL-CIO Endorsed Candidates: https://www.mtaflcio.org/your-vote-matters
If you would like yard signs for candidates, please reach out to our office. When IBEW members vote, we help protect our livelihoods, strengthen our union, and build a better future for working families across Montana. Encourage your family members, friends, and fellow union members to do the same. Every election matters. Every vote counts.
