03/12/21 - International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers, AFL-CIO, CLC
WJAR We began Contract bargaining with Sinclair Human Resources in September and held ZOOM sessions in September and October. There are not too many items on the Bargaining Table that we presented. We are looking for wage increases, wage adjustments for Directors who are operating hte automated newsroom systems, keeping the 5th week of vacation, some holiday Comp Days for those on salary, some safety issues in the field and better air quality in the building especially in control rooms. We are awaiting a rewsponse from the Company for our next bargaining date RI PBS We continue our negotiations that began in the spring with the station. For the most part proposals have been traded by email and now we are looking to begin face to face virtually via ZOOM, which has become the norm during the pandemic. In 2020 we concluded negotiations for successor Agreements at CPTV and WMUR Photographers. Comming up in 2021 we have many Contracts coming up for negotiations. At the news stations we have WBZ, WCVB, WHDH, WVIT, WMUR Master Control and Truck Operators. On the Broadcast Sports side we have HJZ, LDM, MJN, PPI and Remote Productions.
